Not much happening at the moment, both of us are busy with work
and family committments, you know how it is.

We won't be going to the Handmade Expo this weekend, but hopefully
you will see us there in November.

Lee-Ann and myself had a lovely morning yesterday at the local flea
markets, found a couple of treasures will post some before and after
photos soon. The morning out was just what we both needed.
Came home and it started to rain, so I decided sewing was in order
and finished a dress and top to wear this coming weekend.
A 21st and 60th birthday plus a day at the races on Sunday.

I took to the kitchen after that and made some chicken and
apple pies for the freezer.
Its amazing what a rainy day will do for you.

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?

Hi! there,

Earlier last week we decided we would take our goodies to the Handmade Expo in Ipswich
last Saturday. After the duststorm then on Wednesday and another predicted for Saturday

we then wondered at our decision.

So there we were at Handmade Expo for the first time, foregoing a sleep in to rise early at

4.00 am to get there in plenty of time to set up. The day started out fine until shortly after it started at 8.00 when it decided to get windy, had we made the right decision we thought, as having previous experience with outside markets and changing weather, you are virtually at mother natures mercy. One stall holder packed up and went home as some of her things got broken.

We secured our shade cover as best we could and did our best to enjoy the morning.

We were very fortunate to be surrounded by delightful ladies on either side of us.
It was lovely to chat to like minded crafty people and see what they are up to.

The dust and wind rolled in as it was time to pack up, so a quick stop at Macca's for something

to eat and a cold drink before we tackled the trip home.

Today I caught up with a very good friend I hadn't seen since my daughter's wedding about 5 years ago. Narelle has moved to Brisbane and it was nice to catch up with all the gos' and what

has been happening in each others lives since then. Had a nice lunch and checked out some new

clothes boutiques in Kenmore. Lots of LOL. Will look forward to getting together more often.

Lee-Ann is enjoying being a grandma to Ella, though still finding some time to create things

for Handmade Heaven and the Expo stall.

QUIET IN BLOGLAND

It's funny, I love to check in on some of my favourite blogs regularly and get disappointed if they haven't updated for a while. But, who am I to talk when I don't update our blog as often as I would like.

Not much is happening at the moment, though both of us have been busy with family and work commitments.

My weekend away recently was great in that I got to spend time with my brother and sister and spouses.

Thought I would put in a couple of photos of the weekend. Sadly though my brother is selling their farm and moving up to North Queensland and the tablelands. Will miss having them nearby.

Called into Handmade Heaven and Liesa on the way to drop off some more stock and have a look at all the lovely things instore.

I stopped off at the Petrie Country markets on Sunday on my way to work and checked out a new antique and collectable store, purchased a cute dolls cradle in wrought iron to keep for my grandaughter. Just needs a little TLC. Also dropped by Lily cottage and looked at all the pretties there as well.

What a shame I had to work I would have liked to stay longer.

I am trying to be enthused and clean up my sewing room so as I can get back into sewing lots of new things for Christmas. Unfortunately it is one of those jobs you just have to be in the mood for. Perhaps a trip to Redcliffe/Brighton on Wednesday will put both of us back on track.

Changes

Hi! to everyone,

What beautiful weather we are having at the moment, maybe winter has gone early.

Should keep the jumpers out a bit longer just in case.

I invited Lee-Ann and Rob around for morning tea last week as we have all been busy,

and thought it would be nice to catch up on my day off.

As you can see I thought I would make it special. The roses are my first roses off this David Austin Rose called "Miss Alice" and the perfume is divine.

I made a delicious chocolate cake topped with strawberries. (Forgot to take a photo of that)

I am heading away this weekend, my sister and husband are arriving from Townsville on Friday for 4 days and we are heading up through Toowoomba to my brothers farm at Haden.

A quick side trip through Ipswich on the way to drop off stock to Leisa at Handmade Heaven.

Leisa is doing a great job of marketing her store which is great for all of her stockists.

You may have seen her on one of the National Morning TV shows last week promoting same.

Drop by her blog and read all about what is happening there.

A couple of photos of some new things that I have been working on lately and will perhaps be in store there after Friday. Lee-Ann also has a couple of new things as well.

I thought I would include this photo of the lady in black.

I have had this black beaded skirt around for years, and when we were at the Handmade Expo in July one of the stall holders had the painted dolls for the top, when I saw the lady in black I knew she would just go perfectly. So this is the finished result.

Just Dropping By

Just posting a quick blog today before dashing off to the dreaded work.

THE MIRACLE OF THE WEEK,
Into the world arrived Ella Rose, new grandaughter for Lee-Ann and Danny.
All excited, both Mum and bub now doing well.

Have been busy working on some new projects for Sweet Tea and Roses.

I have been looking and making a list of the painting projects that I have around the place to do,
Can't wait for the weather to warm up a little so as to start work on these.

After working 6 days straight, with work being so busy, I decided on Sunday a wander through Bunnings was called for on the way home from work to destress.
I ended up buying a couple of new pot plants for the front verandah. One was a lovely dwarf lavender which is so pretty. It is sittting in a little wooden wheelbarrow - so cute.
You will just have to let your imagination work here as I haven't taken any photos.

Will charge the batteries for the camera and have some pics on some new products next time.

Busy, Busy Busy

Hi! there,

Where has this year gone I say, and I don't think I have acheived much. But I stopped and thought about it and I have actually been quite productive. Whilst I was jobless for a couple of months I did actually work towards stock for Sweet Tea and Roses, though my best acheivement was finding a new job in this jobless climate. Having said that it has been a bit hectic

learning lots of new things and getting back into work mode each day

Lee-Ann and myself are very busy trying to produce stock both for our website and a stockist of our products, the charming Handmade Heaven store located in the Old Flour Mill at Ipswich.

I have added couple of photos of the Floppy Bunny and a very pretty pincushion you will currently find at Handmade Heaven. (These are at the bottom, don't know what happened but they won't go where I want them to)

Another enjoyable morning with our stall at the recent Bribie Markets. A beautiful Bribie morning, chilly to start, but warming up nicely. Caught up with some friends and family as they all stopped by. Lots of admirers of our stall as usual.

Lee-Ann is on final countdown for the arrival of her grandaughter, due date is 20th so we will

wait excitedly and anxiously for her safe arrival into the world.

This the very pretty nursery Mum to be and Grandma have been working on.

Don't you love the wall panels that Lee-Ann created.

Going to investigate a new material shop next week as I am on the search for some new fabrics

for some new ideas I have. the only problem is now that the cold weather is here I find it

hard to motivate myself at night to do some sewing, but I am going to have to push the boundaries to acheive more.

So much to do and so little time.

I know this is a rare occassion but here I am blogging instead of Lyn. There won't be any wonderful photos appearing tonight because I need to practise that a bit more but at least I am writing something.

The truth is that everyone out there writing blogs every day are making me feel very guilty for being so lazy - but not any more I am going to turn over a new leaf and blog more often (with photos in the future).

Thank-you to Handmade Heaven and Bubba Chenile for checking out our blog and I have to say that it is both of you that have made me feel so guilty.

At the moment I have many things happening in my life and trying to get everything working well together is a bit of a challenge therefor most of my sewing is being done very late at night. At least I am still awake to catch some of the tennis action which is good.

When we looked in on the Handmade Expo last Saturday we had the most wonderful afternoon at the Hotel Metropole (I hope that is the right name). They hosted a Wine, Food and Jazz afternoon which was just wonderful. Everything was so well done that we couldn't believe our luck as it was pure chance that we found out about it. Next time it is on don't miss it.

OK I feel a bit better now that I have made the effort to write. It wasn't that hard after all.

Hello to everyone in blogland

Hello to everyone who enjoys pretty shabby things.

It is nice sometimes to just kick back with a cup of your favourite tea or coffee and catch up on your favourite blogs, think happy positive thoughts and become inspired.

Unfortunately I don't blog often enough, I can't believe it has been March since I last posted.

how bad is that.

What has been happening recently?

A visit to the lovely Mt. Mee to check out the markets there and enjoyed a georgous morning tea

at Birches restaurant, even though it wasn't a real cold day it was nice to sit beside the fire

and just chill and enjoy.

My daughter and her family have been down for a visit and gave me the opportunity to spend quality time with my 2 grandchildren, lots of fun and Nannie cuddles. Modern technology is wonderful, web cam email etc but it is not the same as the real thing.

We are busy planning a baby shower for Lee-ann's dauhter whose baby is due in July
Lee-ann is also busy re-decorating her spare bedroom converting it to a visiting babys room.

I have still been job hunting with no luck until last week when a phone call came with good news,

success at last and I start a new job on the 16th June. Hooray!! Hooray!!.
Thinking about no job has taken a bit of a toll on my sewing and other creative things, so I am

hoping now I will become more inspired and creative.

Tomorrow we are off to Ipswich to visit Handmade Heaven and look at the possibility of putting some of our pretty products in the shop... we will see.

I have tried my hand at some painted metal signs to put on our market stall..see what you think.

MOVING AND JOBS

It's been a while since I last blogged, I know, but moving house and looking for a new job take precedence. However here I am at last with things to write about.
I have moved into a very nice house that has a garage and separate carport, how lucky I am - I have turned the garage into my separate studio workplace, no more using the dining room table

hoorah!!.

Hopefully on the job front I will get lucky soon and find a permanent position but meanwhile I am hard at work making new things for out website and market stall.

Our two friends Rob and Sandy recently went to Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsulia for a week. Lucky girls, enjoyed every minute especially all of the wonderful choice in eateries they found. Sandy got to visit Gail McCormacks stall at the markets and they were wrapped at the markets. Upon their return I had them over to lunch and they filled us in on their adventures whilst we all enjoyed a relaxing lunch.

Lee-ann and Danny have this week been down to the Hunter Valley area for a holiday. I am sure they would have come accross some new and interesting places, hopefully Lee-ann will come back all inspired and hopefully with some new ideas.

Exciting Times

What a busy time it has a been so far this year, already it is February.

A surprise visit from my daughter and grandchildren, Lily and Bailey over the last couple of weeks has seen my creative side be put on hold as I went into full blown Nannie mode enjoying spending time with them.

The markets have rolled around again, how fast the first month of 2009 has gone.

Hopefully our gazebo shade will be right this Sunday. Last month saw us unpack and erect our new shade cover only to find it had been designed for pygmies and we were flat out being able to walk under it.

Lee-ann, Robyn and myself have embarked on an exercise regime over the last couple of weeks

we figure if we get together at least twice a week to walk or water aerobics and just do our own walking in between should keep us motivatated. We are keeping a record for at least 12 weeks to see how we go. We figger the fitter you feel the more you acheive - one can only be positive.

The good and bad news for me is that I am about to move. The good news is it is a bigger house

with a front and back deck. The bad news is I have to pack everything up.

The most exciting news for Lee-ann this year is that she is to become a Grandmother/Nanna/Nanny/Grandma, she is so excited and is busy already perusing baby catalogues and buying lots of things. What an exciting time for her daughter and husband.

I said last blog I would put some photos of our friend Sandy's house. We went there for lunch

before Xmas and had a very lovely day. I have spread them throughout this blog, hope you enjoy them. She even has a chandelier on her back deck. Thanks Sandy.

A New Year - A New Look

2009 The year to reacess, both personally and professionally.

I have decided I need to be more goal oriented this year and try and achieve something special.

So first up Lee-ann and I are starting with our sweet tea and roses web business. This is currently undergoing a major overhall of products and catergories. we are very busy already

making new products for you in the hope you will drop by and fall in love with some of our new delightfully pretty, shabby chic or romantic whimisical items.

We will be having a stall at some markets this year, and will keep you posted on where we will be on our website or here on our blog. November & December we have been at the Rotary Markets on Bribie Island, (2nd Sunday of the month at Brennen Park) and everyone OOHS! and AAHS!

The weather doesn't always play fair though, it was very windy last month and we had to put some things away as they kept getting blown over. Pictures of our December stall above. Wedding Countdown

Yes it has been a while since our last post. There are lots of things happening at the moment, not that that is an excuse. It is three weeks to go to Lee-Anns daughters wedding and she has been very busy at the sewing machine creating beautiful dresses and wedding accessories.

After Lee-ann had transformed her lounge room into a temporary tea house, 22 ladies came together for a delightful afternoon of delicious High Teas, starting off with a welcome of Champagne and three tiers of choc-coated strawberries for everyone to indulge!!! delicious....

Each guest had a very pretty place card to set off their tea setting and alongside sat a pretty Tussie Mussie hand made by me and filled with pretty pink cocnut ice and Turkish Delight..... We had to keep the pink theme going.

To start the afternoon off chatter boxes were the order of the day to the let the ladies relax and mingle. What a wonderful way to start the countdown for the wedding.

MAY TIME - PLAY TIME

Another long weekend was upon us and I didn't have to work, so I set off to visit my brothers farm "Pekeri" at Haden near Toowoomba. Saturday I caught up with my two nieces and their partners who all happened to be visiting that day. We all joined in and did various farm chores, sorted weaners and cattle. took a tractor ride up the back mountain to chop fire wood, rode SOME horses and finished off the afternoon with a visit to A local winery and olive grove down the road Called "Bunnyconnellen". We tasted a couple of their light live oils with bread and all ended up purchasing a bottle of 'Molly' extra virgin oil to use for dipping and lightly drizzling on soup etc, also a couple of bottles of white wine to go as well.

Sunday we took a road trip across to Dalby to the historical Jimbour Homestead where you can take the living history walk, unfortunately you can't go inside. It is truly magnificent looking out over the downs. We had lunch at the Water Tower restaurant and purchased a couple of bottles of their wine as well. Off to Maclagen with a short stop at Bell where we stopped at Cowbelles Patchwork shop and cafe (of course we had to stop) left the men in the car. Just couldn't resist and purchased a couple of pieces of pretty pink material and some delicious choc slice for afternoon tea. On to Maclagen to "Rimfire Winery" which has some beautiful red wines. And of course had to bring home some of those also.

Home to feed the animals, organise dinner and finish off a wonderful day with a bonfire just after sunset on the mountains where we said goodbye to the old pear tree that had given up and died.

Home on Monday and back to trying to re-organise our web boutique, we will have some new things coming soon, this week hopefully.

These are a couple of the gorgeous pin or broach cushions that will be appearing along with some gorgeous handbag style doorstops and other pretties, so stop by next week and have a browse. We are also clearing out our padded coat hanger sets at a reduced price.
It has been a very busy week but to finish it off yesterday Lee-ann took her daughter Tamara and myself on a secret excursion for our birthdays, we went to a truly magnificent place and felt very special.....I will let her tell you all about it on her next blog.

A CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL JOINS THE FAMILY

LITTLE MISS TARA

This is quite exciting - my first blog on our new updated page. I just love the look and listening to the soothing music. It has given me the inspiration I needed to get myself organised and back in action.
There is also a little girl who is putting the sunshine back into my life and her name is Tara. She is a ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is now 12 weeks old.

I didn't know if I was ever going to have another dog after my beautiful Bella passed away at the age of 11 years. But 15 months later here I am with a gorgeous little girl who has stolen every ones heart. She is already a favourite with Aunty Lyn who drops in on her way home from work for a cuddle.

The only one who isn't too happy about the arrival of Tara is my Daughter's little dog named Indi. She has had 'Grandma' to herself for a while so sharing isn't on her agenda at the moment but she is slowly coming around. Tara doesn't help when she jumps all over her and tries to bite her ears.
INDI -SHARING 'GRANDMA' ISN'T ON HER AGENDA

I feel guilty saying this but I found Tara on the internet - it seems a harsh way to buy a precious little puppy. Tara was born in Inverell so our journey to collect her turned into a short 4 day holiday. We drove through Kyogle, Casino, Grafton, Armidale and then on to Inverell. My Husband and I had never driven down that way before so it was all new and interesting. We actually got to see the start of the Autumn colours - really lovely as we don't see too much of that on Bribie.

We picked up Tara early in the morning and drove back home in one day. She travelled perfectly. Frequent stops in parks along the way meant that we talked to a lot of people. It is amazing what effect a puppy has on people - they open up and tell stories of their own pets and then strangers become friends for a short time.

I realize now how much I have been missing Bella but I couldn't be happier with the way Tara is fitting into our family. Tara will never take Bella's place in my heart but she has already found a new place in my heart which is just for her.

Inspiration For 2008

Hi!

Lyn & Lee-Ann have been having a time out from blogging and shabby web boutique business lately, however the time has come to get back on track. Our blog has had a makeover and we hope you get a wow reaction as you are visiting.

Even though we haven't been posting, I have still been reading all my favourites and lots more. There are so many lovely and inspiring blogs out there I decided to enlist the help of my daughter and her talented computer skills to redesign our blog and this is it. I hope you enjoy.

Lee-Ann is busy at the moment house training their newest member to the family, Tara. You will meet the very sweet Tara when she blogs next.

We both went to the local Caboolture Markets last Sunday morning and both acquired a couple of finds. The green lustre vase I may put into the vintage category in sweet tea and roses. Stay tuned and see.

A paint brush seems to have taken control of my hand and is currently creating magic with white paint. Some furniture items are getting a new look to go with the shabby transformation of my little cottage "Sunrise Cottage".

I am slowly getting the creative spirit back and can curl up on my new sofa and stitch, scheme up new ideas, and generally spread mags, craft gear, the odd biscuit or sweet thing around and before you know it there is a mess, but as we all know thats how the best creations happen.

I am wanting to start a couple of altered books, that is something I really love to do the one in the photo is one I did for my daughter Megan for Xmas before last.

I did 3 actually one each for Lee-Ann's daughters as well -all different and in their favourite colour theme. A great challenge but worth it.

Anyway must dash, a big thank you to Megs for such a great job, especially when she has Lily and Bailey to keep her busy, but you know what they say give a job to a busy person and it will happen.

My Name is Lily Eva and this is me asleep in my highchair after a hard day. I am Lyn's darling grand daughter and I love it when she comes up to Mount Isa and visits us. My brother Bailey and I have lots of fun with Nanny.

Aiming for Motivation

Hello to all of our Shabby Chic Friends,

I don't know about everyone else but it seems to be taking us a while to get motivated this year.
My time out is over (Oh! no I say) and it is back into work mode. It was lovely while it lasted just being able to do what I wanted when I wanted. I am now back working in a real job as a receptionist at the lovely 4 star Caboolture Riverlakes Motel. I am meeting lots of interesting people. However starting and learning a new job has not given me much time to be creative.
I bought some new fabrics while away so need to come up with some ideas.
Lee-Ann and Danny have been up to the Sunshine Coast for a couple of days and despite the rain had a good time.
We are hoping to have a couple of new things on the website shortly so stay tuned, just need to take some good photos.
Anyway I have made a start by updating our blog, that makes me feel good.

The New Year brings New Promise

Christmas and the New Year are quickly fading into the background and I told myself this morning that it is now time to embrace 2008 and get the creative juices flowing.
I enjoy Christmas and the weeks leading up to it so much that it is hard to leave it behind , but I will remember the old saying of Keep Christmas in your heart and hold it there the whole year through.

So far today has been a nice fine day without any rain which is a nice change as we have been wet since before Christmas, but we need the rain in South-East Queensland to fill the dams so we are not complaining. I have a few projects for my Husband in the garden this year so I think he is very happy that it is wet - he keeps telling me that the ground is too wet to put in posts but I think that is just an excuse as he is busy building model aeroplanes which he flies on Sunday mornings.

Lyn is heading back to Townsville from Mt Isa tomorrow and should be back in Brisbane about the 21st January so I hope to have a few creative projects on the go by then.
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and New Year as much as I did and good luck to everyone for all their hopes and dreams for the year ahead.

To Market for Christmas,

Hi! everyone - Its time to update our blog, how the time is flying. Christmas is creeping up fast.

Christmas is my favourite time of year, time to unpack the beautiful decorations and transform our homes. This year not so much transforming for me as I am off to Mt. Isa for Christmas - via Townsville to pick up my Mum and visit my sister.

I know Lee-ann has started with her transformation and I'm sure our next blog will have some charming photos.

This weekend coming we are having a market weekend (weather permitting). Saturday at Lawnton showgrounds and Sunday Petrie Country Markets. Hopefully it will be a lovely weekend all round. We are looking forward to spreading the word about our website.

Wednesday we are off to visit my brother at his farm at Hayden near Crows Nest. Will post some photos next time as it is beautiful up there.

Ladies Who Lunch on Bribie Island

Well I have to be honest and say that Lyn and myself have not been too productive on our website the last few days as we have been busy playing ladies and enjoying every minute of it. Tuesday was Melbourne Cup so of course we had to go out for lunch. Thank-you to Cheryl and John for the great time we had playing our own homemade racing game. Lyn and I had intended to work on the website that night but I think we had one too many glasses of champagne.

The next day we were out for lunch again. Being semi-retired does have a lot of benefits. Our lovely friend Robyn hosted a beautiful lunch to officially say goodbye to The Tearose on Bribie. I think the fact that the lunch began at 11.30 and we left after 4.00pm says it all.

Robyn [with a little help from Sandy and Lisa] created a wonderful menu that everyone enjoyed. It was great to see a group of ladies all get on so well together. The afternoon was truly one to remember - good company, great food, a lovely home and setting on the waterfront of Bribie and last but not least plenty of champagne.

We must not forget the gallant males who [despite cold, showery weather ] sat out on the back deck to give the ladies freedom of speech. Truly we did invite them inside but they insisted they were happy where they were.

Thank-you again Robyn. We appreciate all the effort that went into making the afternoon a success for everyone. Don't forget that we have already booked in for next year.

This blog is proof that I am slowly getting back into work mode. Tomorrow I will achieve more.

Mount Isa Holiday

MT. ISA HOLIDAY

I thought I would update our blog with some thoughts from Mt. Isa where I am currently visiting my daughter and family. My son-in-law is the president of the Mt. Isa Apex Club, and last Friday night they organised and ran the Apex Rock Pop Mime Show for the primary schools in the Mt. Isa and surrounding areas. A lot of hard work went into this event with all proceeds
being put back into the community at various levels. Every act involved a great effort from teachers and students alike and they were all very good. A special mention to the School of the Air students for their act which was only put together on the Friday when everyone was able to come into town for a quick run through before the event, and also the Mt. Isa special school. Lots of great costumes and energy levels throughout the night supported by approx 3000 strong audience. Well done to all concerned. Some very tired workers after the event.

Had a lovely lazy day out at Lake Moondarra yesterday, bar-b-que lunch, a game of cricket
and time with family and friends.

Baby Bailey is 3 weeks old today and getting lots of cuddles from everyone especially Nan, I will be heading home to Brisbane on Tuesday and will have to wait until Xmas to visit again.
So back to business next week, it will be hard to break out of holiday mode.

A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN BUDERIM

I have finally found a photo of Lyn and myself together to post on the blog. That's me (Lee-Ann) on the left and Lyn on the right. This photo was taken in our Tearoom on Bribie Island (The Tea Rose). Frustration has been high on my agenda for the last two days because I have been trying to add this photo to our profile without any success. Just can't work out what I'm doing wrong.

On a more relaxing note - it was my darling Husbands birthday on Tuesday 16th Oct so I took him up to Buderim for the day. Perfect day. We bought the winning ticket in the Endeavour Prize Home though we are still undecided whether we will live there or stay where we are. Well we can all dream a little can't we?

After a great lunch at the newly renovated Hotel (superb views through a wall of glass all along the coast) we wandered around the village and had coffee at the Vieneese Coffee House. The photo is of a lovely B&B at Buderim called The White House. It is situated next to a National Park which has a couple of nice easy bushwalks. Then it was back home to prepare a Birthday dinner for the family. It was just one of those really nice days when all was right with the world.

A very big thank-you to those generous people who have left a comment on our blog - you don't know how much it is appreciated when you are still trying to find your way around.

Lyn is in Mt Isa visiting her Grandchildren so she might find time to give us an update from there.

Farewell to The Tea Rose

Lee-ann and Lyn have said farewell to the Tea Rose on Bribie their lovely Tea House and Gift Shop. The shop has been sold and the new owner is moving into a new direction.
So onwards we say and full steam ahead with Sweet Tea and Roses. As of yesterday the 5th October we opened for business, however we will be loading stock during the next week so please be patient with us as it takes longer than you think when you are still going through the learning process. Our photography skills probably need a little twitching at the moment but I'm sure we will improve. Once we are established we may put together a small recipe collection of our favourite recipes from The Tea Rose. Our customers used to say our small tarts were just devine, and our High Teas some of the best they had tried, so stay tuned for that.
I am off to Mt. Isa this week for a couple of weeks to visit my new grandson Bailey, and grandaughter Lily. We shall have quality family time. Looking forward to that. Lee-ann will be monitoring the website and enjoying working from home for a change. Her husband is enjoying having her home on his days off instead of working 6 days at the Tea Rose.

So all you lovely ladies stay tuned as we anticipate being able to blog more often.

Tea Rose Titbits

The horrible weather has gone and Bribie looked a picture today. How exciting a delivery finally arrived today of some beautiful products we have sourced to blend in with our own designs for Sweet Tea and Roses, however wouldn't you know it customers kept us busy until just before closing. Only had a quick chance to unpack and admire our choices.
Thought I would post some photos of our shop for you to see [ however not quite as easy as I thought - therefore only one photo for now] before we wind down and move to our website business. The lovely shabby lamp in the background of one of the photos was a gift from a very dear customer and friend and was made by her sister-in-law who is a very shabby
inspired lady called Sandy.
As you all know there are never enough hours in a day, so we will have another long night tomorrow night to add more information to our site. So far everything is moving along and should be able to give an opening date soon, stay tuned............. TTFN.Lyn

A WET AND WINDY DAY

The beautiful Bribie Passage was full of white caps today - not a common sight. Everywhere seemed to be quite deserted and I didn't blame people for staying indoors on a day like today. I'm certainly not complaining as we need every drop of rain that we can get. We did benefit from the bad weather by deciding to close a little earlier than usual and spend a few hours working on our website. Great progress was made so we are now a little closer to adding actual stock for sale. It really is quite exciting watching it all come together.

CRUNCH TIME

How exciting - our very first blog. We decided that last Wednesday night was the night to overcome our hesitation and begin work on our website. So a sleepover was in order to begin this process. After a glass or two of a bubbly beverage our performance even amazed ourselves. We have successfully updated the About Us and the Policies pages. But to be fair to ourselves we are still operating The Tea Rose on Bribie 6 days each week. So please have patience with us because the wait will be worthwhile.
